People on the Hill are starting to wonder how Speaker of The House Paul Ryan is holding up. They’re wondering if he’ll face a stiff primary fight thanks to his back and forth, on-again/off-again relationship with his party’s presidential nominee, Donald Trump. Some are even more bewildered by the fact that even though Trump has said he will not endorse Ryan, and even though Ryan has said on multiple occasions that Trump’s rhetoric is offensive and beyond the pale, why Ryan hasn’t pulled his own endorsement of Trump.
If Ryan disagrees with so much of what Trump says, why does he still stand behind the alleged billionaire’s presidential campaign? What kind of horrendousness would Ryan have to witness from Trump to pull his endorsement? Some ask if Speaker Ryan indeed has a conscience. Well, we knew that Ryan has a conscience, and we booked an interview with it. And we set out from our corporate headquarters to Washington, D.C. — our nation’s capital for any Trump supporters out there — to sit down with Paul Ryan’s conscience, and pick its…well…brain.
We hope you enjoy this interview, please let us know if you have any follow-up questions in the comments.
