I am just tired. I’m not sure what finally did it. It could have been the list of 78 terror attacks the Trump administration does not feel have been adequately covered by the “dishonest, lying press”; the list of mostly foreign, mostly small incidents, some of which I remember so they must have been covered in some form or fashion. It’s obviously SO important to them, they managed to spell attaked incorrectly at least a dozen times.

Or it could be the bitching and moaning about Obamacare and scaring the crap out of everyone, then realizing they cannot get rid of it with a snap of their fingers. Now there is a faction of conservatives who are freaking out, because they are not getting what they wanted exactly when they wanted it dammit. Poor little babies, life is hard.

I am exhausted. Maybe it happened when Trump used Twitter to single out a judge and blame him preemptively if there were any terror attacks on U.S. soil. It reminds me of the days during the campaign, when he accused another judge of being unfair because he was Mexican and Trump was building a wall.

Or it might be the thought of allowing churches to be political, doing away with the Johnson Amendment. It says all charitable organizations, all 501(c)(3)’s, “may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates.” This was one of two major promises to Evangelicals to secure their votes, and it worked. They managed to overlook everything else about Trump for this and anti-abortion Supreme Court judges. I’m shrugging my shoulders and throwing up my hands right now. What are you going to do? Their numbers are declining, and they are desperate. Obviously extremely desperate. Just look at Franklin Graham. I cannot even with him anymore.

My bones are weary. Perhaps it is watching our President at war with the State of California. I thought Republicans were big on States’ Rights, but not this guy. His desire to be a dictator far outweighs his want to appear as part of the GOP. And so far nobody is standing up to him from his own party. So California is left to do it themselves. Trump has no Constitutional standing, the state sends in more money than it takes, and this whole mess seems like a really bad idea. That has never stopped him before, though.

Perhaps it is that our friends across the pond are seriously discussing not allowing our president to address Parliament during his upcoming state visit there. After everything that has happened in the UK, we are still way more of an embarrassment than they are. A petition has been signed by 1.8 million people, and the issue was brought up in an unprecedented move by the House of Commons Speaker. Oh, how far we have fallen.

I am frazzled, spent, and wasted. It has only been two weeks. My what a shitshow it has been. But I will carry on. I will take a break and gather myself, every day if I must.  I will continue to follow the news, and I will keep fighting for what I know is right.
